Marathon

I participated in another half marathon last weekend. There were approximately 11,500 people there walking or running. There was even a wheelchair division. When I saw the people in the wheelchairs, I thanked God I was able to walk.

Here I am walking with a friend of mine. We stayed together throughout the whole race. This was her first half marathon, but she had participated in other walks in the past. Notice the socks on my hands. The starting temps for the race was around 36. I wore socks as gloves to keep my hands warm.This picture was taken around mile 4 or 5.

Here we are at the finish. We got our medals and were so glad the race was over. All in all it was a good day. No blisters this time, just a couple sore toes.
